Our Ministry

A warm and welcoming atmosphere

Sunday Sermons

Our 9:30 am Sunday sermons are from the cherished Book of Common Prayer and lessons from the Holy Bible. Every first Sunday of the month is a quiet, meditative Rite I Holy Communion service and sermon. The remaining Sundays are Rite II Holy Communion services with full sermons. We are supported in worship by the Parish Choir.

Pastoral Care

St. Mark’s congregation is served by a breadth of spiritual missions that are offered: worship services, home communion, prayer list, social events, care and comfort in illness and grief, and facilities that are available from our parish church.

To schedule a visit from any of our Pastoral Care providers, please call (386) 328-1474 or email us at office@stmarkspalatka.org.

Jeanette and Harley

Jeanette Barber said when she retired she wanted to do something to give back to this community. Her sisters in Ohio and North Carolina both have yellow labs that are pet therapy dogs, and they suggested Jeanette would enjoy pet therapy. A friend sent her a photo of nine adorable black lab puppies, and she went to the friend’s house to pick one, but they all looked alike. Then Harley picked Jeanette!

There is no doubt that God had a hand in this entire situation. Harley and Jeanette began at Palatka Health and Rehab (formerly Solaris). They then went to Vintage Care and finally Robert’s Care Center, which is part of Haven Hospice. People’s faces light up when they see Harley! What a blessing!
